I'm just a Texas gal in an Illinois world. I have a Bachelors degree in Biology and a minor in Chemistry. I first studied plant and soil science, and as luck would have it, I now get to use my knowledge on our family farm. I am a first year farmer, and proud owner of my handmade business of Lakeside Candles and Crafts, named so because in Texas, I lived on Lake Corpus Christi. I hand craft candles, soaps, lip balms and more. I also blog about cooking, life, gardening, crafts, and anything else I think is fun!
